About Soara

Soara is a new, sustainable and ethical feminine wear brand founded in 2024 by designer duo Surya Garg & Madhu Powar. 

Born and raised in New York City, Surya was inspired by the duality of her upbringing, both as a girl who was living in the heart of fashion in Manhattan and as the daughter of two South Asian immigrants. She created Soara to celebrate her heritage and build a bridge between her two worlds; her sun & and her moon.

This collection is a nod to the multicultural identities that exist across the globe, each piece represents the balance between the vibrance of India and the edge of New York. Our hope is that you take each design and make them your own; our customers are our inspiration, our Soara Sirens, and our goal is to be your partner on your journey to feel like your most authentic self. 

We operate on a pre-order model and each piece is meant to be a staple in your closet, worn over and over again. We have strived, as far as possible, to give you the highest quality natural fabrics with the best detailed handwork from artisans in India. Our planet is our home and we are committed to doing our best to take care of it together.
